Jonotla, a place to visit in Puebla

Jonotla is a small town that is located in the heart of the Sierra Norte de Puebla.

Here it exists one of the few Forest Fog of Mexico, which still conserves the biodiversity in all its splendor, also here is the origin of crystalline water springs and habitat of numerous species of birds and mammals.

Jonotla or Xonotla (Nahuatl) means "place where it abunds the Jonote" which is a tree of the Heliocarpus family and we can obtain a fiber used to make ropes and handicrafts.

Places to visit:
*”El Peñón” and its viewpoint
*The church of San Bautista, built in the XVI century
*Rivers like: Tozán, Zempoala, and waterfalls like Teponahuas
*Caves of Tepetitlán
*Cave of “coro”

This is an excellent place to have fun and rest if you don’t want to spend a lot of money and remember that it’s very close of Puebla!!
